Parts of Communication Design
The 2rd version of Personal Design Vocabulary project.
This time I started over again. I tried to focus more on the word ‘system’.
I think my vocabulary can be defined in a perfect system- human body.
So as ‘personal’, I used my body to be my new vocabulary. Different parts of my body define different words of communication design.
Gumball Machine
It’s a project called Personal Design Vocabulary.
Each pattern of gum balls represents each word in my design vocabulary.
When you turn around the handle of the machine, it’s like the thinking process of design. And then you can get the gum balls (words) out. The ideas come out after long term thinking and doing experience.
MA Self Directed Project
This is my self initiated project of my MA study area which is about the influence from technological communication to our daily life.
MUSICAL CHAIRS－The Process of the Animation
We made a book about the process of Musical Chairs，including our ideas at the beginning, design of the animation, many drafts, storyboard and so on.
MUSICAL CHAIRS－Character Design
This animation is based on a familiar game — Musical Chairs. The main character in this animation represents the human race. The human, in his selfish ways, discovers that he can’t bear the consequences of his own actions. This animation is also trying to depict a society in which people constantly want to get more and more to fulfill their insatiable desires. Maybe the humans win, but perhaps they lose something of greater importance.
here are 8 characters in the animation. And they have different patterns on themselves.
AN INVASION
‘An invasion’, which means electronic products began their invasion of human life, is a series of illustration. There are three pictures of this series. Because of seeing people rely more and more on their mobile phones, pads and laptops, I drew these to make others notice the phenomenon.
